Shannon began her career as a chef in Philadelphia and spent 10 years in the restaurant and catering industries. Wanting to take her love of food in a new direction, in 2006 Shannon graduated from Camden County Community College with an Associates in Nutrition. She completed her dietetic internship and became a Registered Diet Technician in 2007.
Shannon has 15 years of clinical experience working at the Renfrew Center of Philadelphia where she taught cooking, demonstration cooking classes, meal planning and created specialty menus for the eating disordered population. Shannon is passionate about hands-on experience with food and encourages clients to connect food to all aspects of life and culture.
Shannon is an advocate for equality, animals and the arts. She is also a food artist and has created pieces for Disney, Care Bears and Crunch Pak apples. She loves to promote fun with food and strives to bring creative concepts to nutrition therapy. In addition to cooking and art, Shannon enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her family.
